Hello Guys,,,

i have sent documents to the Nova Scotia as a skill worker and i have job offer too, but i've not got any response. how long does it take to recieve my positive or negative response?
Despite my job offer, is it possible to reject me?

Cheers,,
Diana

When did you sent your application ?

Nowadays, Turn around time from NS office is approx 2 months. I have sent my app on 9th july still no response..

the latest confirmed update on the forum is 71 days from the day the application was received in NS

Well, in some cases, when they delay beyond 2 months from the date of receipt of the applications, people have seen that a response comes with something more than just the AOR. So yeah, if yours is delayed by more than 2 months, maybe they would give you an AOR as well as the request for documents :)

Keep your fingers crossed!

My FSW application reached CIO on 13th july.

ECas changed today (24 aug) to "application recieved", as the diagram explain, it mean that all the forms were entered to the system & a file was created.

My DD isn't cashed yet... maybe this week.

Hope this will help.

PS: I used my clientID, which came within my study permit to check my ECas.

Why do we expect CIO to speed up? Since there are always a load of people applying and since they will all be evaluated under the fast-track rule, should we not expect CIO to slow down in the long run? Many of those who applied before the 38 categories were published are still waiting and waiting. Their queue is hardly being cleared up because there will always be new people applying. I am sure the rate at which people are applying is far greater than the rate at which CIO is capable of even saying "no" to the applicants. So, naturally new applications are always getting queued up. No?

human nature... few cases got processed at unbelievably fast pace when the fast track system was implemented... it is obvious that the timelines are bound to go up again and stabilize in a couple of years time. but, the actual fast cases put the laggards under mental unrest which causes impatience.

This impatience comes out in the form of illogical argument on the forum... it's human nature...

pls ignore it and when timelines will start stabilizing, ppl will be closer to reality and stop being impatient...
