Dear Friends,

Do i need notarize all the documents? (Sponsoring my spouse) Please let me know. All documents are in English only.
Thanks

This varies by "Regional Guide". In our case for example, every document was either and 'original' OR a 'photocopy' which for certain said documents was permissable. No documents in our case were notarized.

Read the checklist, I doubt if any documents require notarization.

I notarized EVERYTHING that was official except for emails, and phone logs and chats...

In almost all cases an english document or regular photocopy of an english document is fine.

It's only in certain country guides that notarized english documents are required (most commonly for common-law applications requiring 2 notarized letters), and this will be stated specifically in the guide. If the guide doesn't say... then the regular document or regular photocopy is fine.

I'm guessing from your other posts that your spouse is applying from India. The India guide says

• Send originals of the immigration forms (item 1) and police certificates.
• Send photocopies of all other documents, unless instructed otherwise.
• If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the originals.

So if all of your documents are in English, you DO NOT need to notarize anything, it is simply a waste of money
