So I came to Canada September 2016 (last year) to start the process of becoming a PR thru common law and i had to apply for an extension as a visitor, which I received. I was given till November 2017 (this year) and I applied to renew it a week before.
However, back in August I went back to the states for a family reunion and when I came back i got thru the border using my extension permit, even tho it states that it does not guarantee re-entry. At the time, and pretty much up until now, I assumed the date it told me I had to stay (November 11 2017) still applied. But now I'm kinda thinking maybe since I left Canada and came back my 6 months "reset" and i have till like February/March to stay here.
Anyone have any thoughts?
