I am trying to fill out the online forms, but am unsure about a couple questions, here is my situation:

-Submitted my express entry profile as "Single"
-My boyfriend and I have been living in different cities because of our jobs
-We had a shared lease for one of the apartments we were renting for the last two years (while being apart and visiting each other regularly)

Does he qualify for my "common law partner"?
Do I list him in the Family members section?

Thanks in advance

I thought "Common Law Partners" means for people who are living together?

Yes, but we are living in different places only because of our jobs. The explanation is If you have had a shared lease/bank account,etc... for a year and you had to live separately for a valid reason after that you can still apply together.
My problem is we had a shared lease but it was at the same time frame that we had to be in different cities for our jobs.

So I am not sure if I have to/can include him in my application or not?

He is applying for express entry as well, so we are moving to canada together but not sure if we have to include each other in the applications....
Common-Law means cohabiting. You can't cohabit when you are in two different places.
Unless you have 12 continuous months of living together, in the same property, at the same time, in a marriage-like relationship, you don't qualify as common-law
