Not received any updates on visa application in India even after 17 working days

Hi all,

This is Sanu, I have submitted my student visa application in general category at Chennai VFS office on 18th October 2013 and, I received a message on 21st October saying my application has been reached at Canadian High Commission New Delhi, but after that I haven't got any updates yet. Its now passed 17 working days and when I am checking my application status through "Visa Application Tracker" in VFS site, it is still showing my application is under processing. Does anybody else is facing such delay, what could be the reason for the delay.

Course Details :

I have got admission in University of Waterloo for MASc in Electrical and Computer Engineering (in the area Computer Software) with funding through research assistantship. My funding covers my entire tuition fee and some part of my living expense. In addition I have shown education loan for the rest of my living expense in my application.

Academics and Experience Details:

10th : 94.33%
12th : 95.83%
B.Tech (Electronics and Communication Engineering): 83.90%
3 years of experience as Software Engineer
TOEFL : 86
Submitted SOP along with application.

Could anybody please suggest me the reason for such a delay. And please advice me what should I do now.

What delay? The posted processing time for a complete application is 3 weeks.

Almost same case about waiting bro .. It has been 15 days for me too .. Just shoot an email asking for delay .. As official time limit for procession is over in your case ..

NO there won't be any problem. On which ID did you send your request ? I myself had sent 7 to 8 mails on various ID's to the embassy as those people had messed up my medical results. Just to be sure that they check my mail and make progress with my case ;D

I dropped mail to delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca. Did you get a reply for your mail?

No but they did process my case after that. Also, my brother got their reply when he made an case specific enquiry concerning his application. So I recommend you to go ahead and make an case specific enquiry on the above link that i have mentioned. Hope it helps.
