I am a canadien citizen sponsoring inland American husband,

Finally our status online has changed from in process to decision made (about his pr), our file his been in their hands since 2013, because of criminal background for my husband, We had an interview in Nov. with an agent for the portion of criminal and making sure we are a genuine couple, he told us he was approving it.

So in January 2017 status says: Decision has been made, and since then......well nothing, no letter, no email....nothing. Needless to say we are anxious, but I cannot get a straight answer to my question, how long after the decision is made we will get a letter, it has been 3 months already :(

Any insight would be appreciated been losing sleep for months now

Which VO did you have your interview at?

I have heard of slow downs in receiving appointments for landing in Montreal lately. It's possible that they are also delayed in sending the DM letter as well. You can poke them through the call centre, or, if you don't get answers, you could always ask for a status update from your local MP. Though, I would just suggest you try waiting.

I suspect it's been the Trumpugees filing refugee claims that have been crossing in Upstate NY at the Quebec border that is slowing that office down.

You could also try writing to them.

Have you already ordered your case notes to see if there is something you don't know about?

Personally, I would get the case notes now and if nothing on them that is holding anything up, get you MP involved.

I don't think notes are necessary. You won't get them in time is my guess.

However, save yourself $5 by putting the request in under the Privacy Act: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-personal.asp
