Not added email address in Generic Application Form for Canada - IMM0008ENU_2D

Hi All,
Please advice....

I missed to added email address in Generic Application Form for Canada - IMM0008ENU_2D. My CC was charged on 12th Aug and current status in ECAS is "In Process".

1. How will CIC notify about my Application File Number. Is it through mail at my home address in the application.
2. How shall I update my email address with CIC.
