Hi. I have applied as a skilled worker last 2005 and currently awaiting for the approval of my application which is due in early 2009. I am a self-employed commercial photographer by profession and have been in the business since 1981. My husband and I have been blessed with 2 other businesses such as rental of properties (condos, apartments, houses) and Food Business (Restaurant) besides my photography. Regrettably, for the past years, my full attention was much needed in the other 2 businesses especially during the construction of our newly built 36 apartment units. Because of this I lied low in my photography for the past 3-4 years . I am aware that one of the requirements in the application as skilled worker is the " EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE LAST 10 YEARS ". Does anyone have an idea whether my application will be affected by the sudden change of career / work / job ? I have all the papers to show that the construction of the building indeed happened and that I needed to take care of the documents such as the bank loans etc. Do they require the work experience to be continuous for the last 1o years ? Any opinion or theory on this matter will be highly appreciated. Thanks.
