Hi, i enrolled in a non spp private college and took a course of accounts and payroll from jan 2017 to jan 2018. It was a one year course with interenship.. The college does has a DLI number. I am a mechanical engineer back home and my study permit expires in dec 2019. My question is :-

1) if i want to apply a work permit. Since there is a lot of confusion regarding the possibility of getting a work permit studying under non spp college..i want to ask, does it matter studying under spp or non spp while applying?

2) should i apply through online or go to border directly ? Which one has more chances ?

3) if they reject my work permit .. since i have another two years on my study permit.. can i take another program after getting rejected or my status for student will also be over ..!

As per CIC :
  • Canadian private school that can legally award degrees under provincial law (for example, Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree) but only if you are enrolled in a study programs leading to a degree as authorized by the province
So you are not eligible for PGWP, unfortunately.

It may be hard to convince the VO because your intended program is not a progression of your previous studies. Your intended program is a post secondary program, you already have previous post secondary. Had it been a graduate certificate where a prior degree is required then you have a better chance.
