Hi everyone,

Sorry if this has been posted before but I can't seem to find a relevant thread for my case so I'd like to ask.

I've applied for an Express Entry early this year and got an ITA last month under "Federal Skilled Worker" classification. I have an aunt (she's my dad's older sister) and she's a Canadian citizen along with her husband and children. However, her family and my family are not exactly close. ^^;

But because in my original Express Entry application, I was afraid that it might get rejected when they do the background check because of the fact that I failed to mention in my application that I had an aunt, I decided to include her in.

Now, for my ITA, they are asking me for proof of status for a Family Member, but when I checked my whole ITA application, I didn't state that I had a Family Member in Canada but because I mentioned her in my Express Entry, I'm required now to submit documents for said Family Member's Proof of Status.

Is there a way for me to remove said Aunt from my Express Entry application? Or does it mean I need to decline this ITA and re-submit another Express Entry application? Do I really need to include her in? And finally, is there a negative effect if I decline the ITA and re-submit another Express Entry?

Thank you in advance for the assistance.
