Hi All, Did anyone else had primary office - Etobicoke and the Secondary office- the Centralized Intake office? If yes, what has your experience been with them, are they fairly faster than others or slow?

hi! Wanted to share my situation and ask your guys' opinion on what would be the best thing for me to do. I submitted my PR application (pnp not express entry) on April 13th, 2022 through the permanent residence portal. Haven't heard anything since and it's been almost a year. No AoR, nothing. I don't have an application number, just ICU from my work permit. I try to call IRCC, but no answer, they are saying all operators are busy and please call later. I filled out the contact form - no answer. I waited for 11 months, and feel so frustrated as I don't understand why is it taking them so long. My work permit expires in 2 months, and I hope that I will receive AoR soon so I can apply for BWP. What do you think is the best thing for me to do now? just wait?
If you didn’t get aor for so long, you need to keep calling ircc (try right when they open or 30 min before closing time). Also you need to reach out to mp right away. If your permit is expiring in 2 months, you should be already applying for bwp. You need to get that aor asap

See the post number #3,466 - this guy got decision in 11 months whereas the guy from post number #3,663 got in 7 months - both of them received DM/Portal confirmation from Etobicoke.

Just last week, I got to know (by calling IRCC) that my PVO is Etobicoke and SVO is CIO Sydney. I believe there is no set pattern, everyone's file is unique, differ streams within non-EE, different NOC, number of applicant's, different background etc, etc, there are just so many combinations and factors that could be paying some role, and there is nothing like first come first serve. But that said, I haven't seen any post of applicant going beyond 15~ months with Etobicoke VO. Not saying there is none but at least I haven't noticed so far or I may have missed.

My understanding: Whoever is the current primary VO - makes the decision.

At any point, file can be moved between many offices for whatever reasons IRCC deems.

Hi everyone,
I'm starting my PNP application for PR (non-ee), and within the required documents is Police certificates and clearances. I'm in Canada for over 10y now, I did provided my police certificates when applying for my first study permit, since then didn't leave for more than 1month. Yes, I was living in other countries for more than 6months (Germany, UK), BEFORE Canada (but it's since I was 18y old). Do I still have to obtain the police certificates from those countries (again), or can I just write and explanation? Anyone had similar experience? :)

When I Called IRCC and ask that I heard Etobicoke is a slow office he laughed and said from where you get this information I said from reviews of different forum.she said there is no such thing fast or slow visa office evey office works in same standard whenever all stages pass they issue a decision but some applications are complicated and take time in security, criminality and eligibility. In my case eligibility took the most but as I lived in Singapore last 15 years and did degree in Canada Also, working in Cash services so my security also done by agency before I started job so all other stages were very fast.He said if VO recieve 2 application together but 1 candidate every thing pass quick and other take time so there will be different processing time it is nothing to do with VO. But it is true that newer application are quick as theses are given to new batch of staff like after June application but old guys have to face a backlog ( which is unfair but it is how it works)

If you don't mind, do you know that - you can write in small caps as well? (its' just that write all in caps means yelling - which you don't mean to - but thats what it means) thanks!

I am not sure of the particulars, but make sure that you have followed the instructions when submitting birth certificates. Be sure to check you have followed the instructions on the IMM P7000 (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-p7000-application-permanent-residence-provincial-nominee-class.html) and IMM 5690. If there is anything out of the ordinary, be sure to provide an explanation by way of a cover sheet when uploading the documents.
What should I do now? Do I attach an explanation of the document while uploading those?
