Hi everyone,

I am sending my citizenship application asap, I am having a problem here though. The place of issue contains a non-English character which is “Ğ”. While filling the citizenship application form, should i use it the way it is or should i change it to “G”. I know that the information we provide should match with our passport information perfectly. So maybe I should use it exactly like it’s shown in my passport even though it is not an English letter? Thank you!

That's a good question. I'm inclined to say write it as it appears on your passport. However, I think it's best to call IRCC and ask their opinion.

Thank you. Well I keep calling them but they are always “experiencing high volume of calls”. Anybody that had the same issue here? Thanks!
