I am pursuing Masters in canada and need to apply for work permit. But last year when i started my studies in canada i charged for something and got diversion and charges were withdrawn and i was not guilty and i was non-convicted.
But plz let me know these charges will affect my work permit application?Should i disclose everything in my work permit application?
Anybody who is experienced or not plz give me your opinions and which documents should i arrange for work permit.

You should be fine if non-convicted in the case. You must disclose everything truthfully. Expect considerable delay in the processing, up to 3 months.

You don't need to submit any police report or any case related paper work.

I didnt apply for police report yet.M fillinf application but m really confused about the questions like have you been arrested, convicted or charged?
I dont know how to answer ,yes or no.
Plz help me guys.

If u were arrested but not convicted, they wil stil hav ur recored of arrest. But as u werent convicted so it can be expected tht this arrest wont effect ur app much. Just b truthful in ur answer. If u lie then ur doomed.

If you answer 'No'. Expect straight refusal right away. Under that question, there is enough space to write in point forms as what happened. There is NO way to hide it.

Third and the last time:

As long as its not a conviction or pending charges, you are safe. Hiring a lawyer make no sense. You don't need any certified letter or documents. They have access to everything. You must write 'yes'. Expect 3 months of delay.
