If on the checklist a document is not required, can you upload it anyways?
I'm not sure if I read this correctly, but does the sponsor (my husband) who has dependent children need to submit their birth certificates if applying to sponsor his parent? I read it somewhere on this link and not sure if they were referring to the sponsor and his children.

Also, I read on the checklist IMM 5771 "Proof of principal applicant's relationship to an accompanying spouse or common-law partner". So if he's only sponsoring one of his parent's and the other is not accompanying, do you still need to upload the marriage certificate? This question also applies to the passport photo and photo for the permanent residence? Does the principal applicant need to submit their birth certificate as well?
Thank you!
