Non-accompanying Parent for Minor - I am not in touch with my Ex- IMM 5604

Hello,

I am not in touch with my ex and i am not in my home country either. The divorce decree clearly states that I have complete responsibility of my child. Can anyone help with another alternative than getting IMM 5604 signed by my ex? I really have no idea of where he is. Any help on this will be hugely appreciated.

You may write such a letter in any form. It is not MANDATORY to fill this FORM. Your signature on that letter must be notarized. Make a note on the letter that you are attaching a certified copy and translation (if necessary) of the court decision , and provide both papers to whom it may concern.

I am in the same situation. Just received CIC msg about getting IMM5604 how ever I don't think my ex will help on any way. Please advise if there is any work around for this.Do I need to consult any lawyer for this?
