NOC title doesn't match my job title

Hello all,

My current job title doesn't match any of the job titles in the list provided by HRDSC for my NOC code.
Will that be a problem? My title is database developer, but I cannot find it in the HRDSC. I do match the descriptions for 2172 but not the title. Also, the descriptions provided by HRDSC are too generic, will that be a problem if my current letter of employment goes in deeper detail or mention specific technologies?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's about the duties and not the title...if the duties/experience does not match any of the eligible NOCs (which will be published for the next intake), then you are not eligible to apply.
It is the description of the NOC that applications are assessed against. You just have to wait and see if 2172 comes on the list for 2013.
