NOC Points and Ministerial instruction - Wat is the difference?

Hi,

How would I know which NOC suits me? I also want to understand wat is Ministerial instruction?

I went through NOC site and found my NOC category would be "2173 Software Engineers and Designers
software engineer"

Any help and advice is highly appreciated.

There is a FAQ post in this forum, and the first two posts within that has lots of information. ministerial instruction is a list of job and an applicant must have at least one year of one of those jobs within the last 10 years to be eligible to apply for FSW1.

When it comes to points, even jobs outside that list can get points as long as the job is of skill level type 0,A or B.
