NOC not matching Education

That’s when you obtained your university degree. In case you don’t have one, you may state the date you first took a managerial role in this field. The official website clearly states that one doesn’t need to meet the education requirements to qualify for points under the specific NOC chosen.
Thank you! I was confused that there is no need to meet educational requirements to qualify for NOC and at the same time there's a question when you became qualified for the NOC.

Hold on, you're dealing with two NOC here (1) pharmacist (2) lecturer. You need to be careful while writing your reference letter.
A person who has a degree in pharmacy but works in a university as a professor or lecturer is considered a professor/lecturer and your reference letter should match that of a professor/lecturer in which case you will not need a license from the pharmacy examining board (confirm this).

If however you want to work as a pharmacist, you work reference should match a deferent NOC (i'm not sure if this is possible since you said you work in the university as professor/lecturer). In this case however, you will need a license from the pharmacy board in Canada. Now, you can get a PR without this license but when you're in Canada you will not be able to work as a pharmacist until you get this license, which is possible.
I hope this helps.
Hi Mike, another question arises here, its for my own profile. For example, what is the case if a candidate has bachelor in accounting but he has experience in Administrative position as medical receptionist. Well in this case education level is well above the required for such position but will it be acceptable?
Does cic accept it? is it ok to have a degree in other discipline and work experience in other field?

Yeah. It is perfectly OK. People change careers every time for various reasons. Eg, you couldn't find a job in your field of study or you found your true calling in another field after your study. What matters to CIC is that you have a skilled work experience in a particular field.

Hi, I am currently working as Pharmacy Technician for 6 years, and 5 years as Pharmacist prior to that. I am a graduate of Bachelor in Pharmacy and am also registered Professional. My question is, if I pursue Pharmacist in Canada does that mean i have to pass through PBEC? If yes, does it take long to process than just get a Pharmacy Technician assess through WES? and is it applicable to start to work as Technician there and the simultaneously take the PBEC Evaluation so later I can practice Pharmacy on a safer side. (time and money wise). Thank You!

Another question, what if i dont have yet the license from the pharmacy examining board of canada, am i still qualified to be university lecturer? I only have my professional license outside canada. Thank you
I think its fine. As far as I understand license from PBEC are required only if u want to work as retail/Community, Hospital Pharmacist, Industrial Pharmacist, etc. s for lecturer I think it doesnt need it. The only advantage with PBEC is the chance to get higher points when applying for PR.

Hello,

PEBC and WES are two different bodies and do different evaluations. In order to apply for PR, you'll only need WES. If your application is successful and you arrive Canada, you'll then need to get PEBC before you can work in your field.

The time it takes to process a regulatory occupation license depends on the regulatory body. You must check the website to confirm.

You can not work simultaneously while processing your PEBC. What most people do is to start working in a non regulated occupation while processing their license.

Thank You So Much! Appreciated, I only have one problem. I would like to apply for PR using my profession as Pharmacist. Since, my agency told me they can process it altogether with PEBC on the side. Besides, PBEC will give you a higher score as compared to WES, right? I'm new to this, please enlighten me. Thank u

Yes, you can apply for PR using your profession ( you should check the NOC that best describes your duties and responsibilities)

Yes, you can process your WES and PEBC the same time. But remember I said they do different things. With WES, you are able to create an Express Entry profile and claim points for your foreign education. While PEBC on the other hand doesn't give you any points whatsoever. It only gives you a license to work as a pharmacist in Canada.

In order words, PEBC is not essential for now. It will only be useful if/when you arrive Canada.

Hi,
My education is B.Tech(Mechanical Enginnering) from Kurukshetra University alongwith MBA from Symbiosis International University.
My work experience is in IT (TCS) as IT Analyst for 4 years.

I am planning to apply for NOC 2171 Information system analyst and consultant) but I don't have degree in computer science/IT rather I have mechanical engineering degree.
Would this be a problem or not?

TIA :)
