dont worry about title for now. Look at the duties and see if it matches 0213 and whether you manage people. If it matches and you manage people, then apply under 0213.

If not, 2172 doesn't qualify for ministerial criteria for FSW1.

Rupesh,

How would you justify your claim for a specific NOC code where you are claiming a specific NOC code but your involvement in the job for the NOC claimed is not 100%, but say 50% or 60% etc. For example,

1. working under a specific job title with job responsibilities as both, a Consultant (NOC 2171) and a Trainer (NOC 4131)
2. working under a specific job title with job responsibilities as both, a Manager (NOC 0231) and a Software Tester (NOC 2173)

Would you specify a percentage of your involvement while listing the job duties in SCHEDULE 3, Q11? Or would you just claim a single appropriate NOC code for each of your job titles to make yourself eligible? (of course only 4131 and 0231, because both of them are on the "list of 38 occupations").

Regards

I would go with the NOC that is the most appropriate.

1) If you are a trainer consultant, then you could probably apply under either provided you did the duties of both substantially.
2) As for a manager who does testing, as long as you are managing people, you are a manager so you could apply under 0231.

A teaching assistant and a college instructor have similar duties. If you are a normal teaching assistant then it would be hard to claim as a college instructor even though you do some of the same duties. You'd have to justify why you could be considered as a college instructor.

SO what i am saying is that it really depends on each case.

I made a little bit mistake on my previous question. Sorry for that.

Actually, my job experience matches with 2172. but occupation not matches 0213.
2172 is listed in "Classified Elsewhere" of 0213 that is leading me to confusion whether to apply on 2172 or on 0213.

well, unfortunately if your job experience doesn't match 0213, then you'd probably be rejected for FSW1.
Sorry. You could look at finding a job in Canada or studying in Canada. Those are good options too.
