Does anyone know what is the noc code for customer account specialist? I am being offered this job at TD canadas call centre and so far they havent told me details but mainly its like collections department. Any help would be appreciated?

Also, I worked for a previous employer as a tax accountant well i think it was more like tax preparer, i talked to my manager he is saying that he has given letters to 2 old employess in the past 3 to 4 yrs as staff accountant and that should be okay but those employees had bacehlours degree and i have a 2 year business accounting diploma but the salary is below $15 as well. I dont want to take a risk but the employer seems confident and that i should apply under that position but i cant even find the exact noc code for staff accountant i dont think all of my duties were as staff accountant either. does the education and salary make a hige impact? or does the duties and responsbilities ?? matter the most?

Things have changed since 3-4 years ago.

1) There are new NOC codes for this kind of work, some are classified as skill level C (does not qualify for CEC).
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/ProfileKeyword.aspx?val=1&val1=1431&val11=tax+preparer&val12=0&val13=0&val14=&val15=0&val16=0

Second, at the moment, accounting technicians and bookkeepers (NOC 1311) are currently excluded from the CEC Class - see
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-how.asp

NOC 1311
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=1311

For the experience to be accepted, the duties and responsibilities would have to correspond with NOC 1111 -
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/ProfileQuickSearch.aspx?val=1&val1=1111&val65=1311

But based on what you have said above, it is unlikely that your duties and responsibilities would match this NOC.

Salary and education are not the key issue, the lead statement and duties and responsibilities are. But if the VO is suspicious that you weren't doing the duties in described in the letter, they can look at salary and education.

If it is collections, the NOC is 1435, skill level C.
