Hi,

I'm looking to apply for my PR using my my current occupation and I am confused as to what NOC code to use and if I would be eligible.

I currently work for a Telecommunications company and I am part on an e-commerce team. We fulfill orders/request for services customers place online ranging from ordering Internet/Cable/Phone services to moving services for customers when they relocate within the same city or out of town. My official title is Online Sales/E-commerce representative.

Your help in figuring this out is very much appreciated!

You can find your NOC code in your LMO, or work permit (as I remember), or work contract. try to find the NOC code first and then we could find out you eligible or not

I have a PGWP, so there is no NOC code on it. I'm having trouble finding out the NOC code for my job. I wonder if there's a way to contact CIC to find out. I've tried finding it using their list, but no luck. I am assuming they don't have every job under the sun covered in their list. So is it left up to me to use my good judgement???

Have a look at NOC Code 6552, if this matches your duties:

The following is a summary of main duties for some occupations in this unit group:

Customer service representatives in retail establishments answer, in person or on the phone, enquiries from customers and investigate complaints regarding the establishment's goods, services and policies; arrange for refunds, exchange and credit for returned merchandise; receive account payments; and receive credit and employment applications.

Contact centre agents take customer orders for goods or services; promote goods or services; respond to enquiries and emergencies; investigate complaints and update accounts.

Customer service representatives in insurance, telephone, utility and similar companies explain the type and cost of services offered; order services; provide information about claims or accounts; update accounts; initiate billing and process claim payments; and receive payment for services.

Information services representatives provide information to customers and the public concerning goods, services, schedules, rates, regulations and policies in response to telephone and in-person enquiries.

If it is, unfortunately this is considered a skill level C job want won't be eligible for the CEC class.

I tried with your job title which you gave before. But it couldn't show up. So you can ask you human resource manager about your exact job title. Or you can call CIC. They will help you.

email hrsdc with your job duties they will let you know within few weeks
