NOC Code For Job Description

Hi,

I have just got hold of my detailed job description. I'll be grateful if anyone can help me in matching it with an appropriate NOC Code. I work at SP Global, a financial services company and have accounting related qualification.

1. Performing straight forward stand alone tasks or high volume transactions within detailed instructions and predefined procedures
2. Entering, editing and managing data in work-tools as per specified guidelines and checklists
3. Creating reports of work performed during the day via reporting tool. The process will also involve extracting, validating and correcting data set errors.
4. Addressing more complex issues that arise. Reviewing and auditing work performed by more junior members of the team staff.
5. Working with other related teams to complete tasks assigned to them and working to ensure quality and performance to set standards with little supervision
6. In case of Corporate Action position, is responsible for the processing, balancing, and reconciliation of position related to mergers, conversion and redemption.

I had previous experience that was directly inline with NOC - 1111. However, for the above JD, I had created my profile with 1112 as we manage investment related data. I see that this is a very serious matter so we need to enter the exact matching NOC. I'll therefore appreciate if anyone of you could guide me here.

Since I'm from the somewhat similar NOC and having extensively studied investment banking/accounting, I will share my opinion. Your job roles in my opinion don't match at all with 1112. In fact, from reading these job roles I can hardly tell you're from investment background, all the roles seem way too generic.

So what do you suggest? Where should I add this experience? Will it go wasted? I already have experience of about 2.5 years.

It doesn't have to go to waste. You need to describe specifically what you do. For example, from this sentence, you could be talking about pretty much any field of work (investing, IT, Construction) for all I know

If your CRS without this experience is enough, you can also do without it

The issue is that this is the letter provided to me by HR. Do I need to add an explanation letter with it? Also, currently should I change the EE profile that I have created?

Yeah it's enough but I only have 410 points I need to re-appear in IELTs. I don't have enough courage to go for it again as I don't know why I got 6.5 in writing. I got 7.5 in Reading & Speaking and 8.5 in Listening.

according to current trends, you need around 450 points.

Can you please just answer the last question that I mentioned above. I'll be really grateful. As I deal with Financial Statements and Financial data and all my job responsibilities are related to that, which category should I choose for my job description after ofcourse adding an explanation letter? Should it be 1111 or 1112?
