rtall,
What NOC does your job and responsibilities matches in the letter which you submitted initially?

2171 or 2174?

Also your current work permit is approved under LMO or intra-company transfer?

Does it actually matter?

Thanks a lot guys for your comments and posts.

Iam going to send a letter admitting my mistake and iam not going to say it as "typo" , yes these are contradictory so I will stick to say as my mistake. Thanks for correcting me byrwus

My Work permit is under ICT and CIC gave me a NOC code as 2171 based on my duties submitted to them when applying for WP.

My job duties are broad and fall under both the NOC codes 2171 and 2174. But as er my work permit I should go with 2171 and I did that mistake but couple of my friends got PR even though their NOC code does not match with WP and I also followed the same theory but unfortunately my case went to review.

Kindly suggest If Iam missing some thing

Don't say it's a mistake. It's obviously a typo. key 4 and key 1 is right next to each other on the keypad.

I can share my experience, may be it will be useful

My NOC in work permit was 2174, but my job was a postdoc (NOC 4011), and my duties combined programming, research and teaching. In my application I used 2174, in order to agree with a work permit

My first reference letter from employer was really bad, it briefly said about programming, and mostly about physics (which is not programmer and not postdoc, since according to NOC postdoc is mostly teaching)

After reading this forum, I emailed to Ottawa new reference letter which mostly described me as a programmer, but also it was saying about science (in order to agree with previous letter), and teaching (in order to agree with postdoc duties as well). It was also written, that I was employed as a postdoc and programmer. This letter was about 1.5 pages.

Now I got medicals. May be, I got it because I have sent this new letter on time.

I think, that it is problematic to change your NOC, while you already submitted. It is easier to get a new reference letter which corresponds to NOC that you applied.

rtall,
What does your gcms notes says about review? Thank you

Guys,

My Workpermit application was filed under NOC 2171 but the occupation mentioned in WP matches with NOC 2173. But I filed application under NOC 2171 as my employer gave recent letter with NOC 2171 and duties matching with that. Is this ok? can you please suggest?
