Can someone please tell me if bookkeepr/junior bookkepper is still eligible under CEC? I have been offered this job and the duties match with 1231, the employer has also identied it as noc code 1231. but i know as of nov 2013 there were some major changes and Accounting technicians and bookkeepers (NOC 1311)
does not qualify anymore. so i am confused if the noc code 1231 and junior bookkeeper is still good?

1311 is no longer eligible.

1231 is NOC 2006, 1311 us NOC 2011 which is the updated code.

Hi ,

I would say change you job responsibilities and duties and match with NOC B if you employer can do that then you are fine. like 1225 Purchasing agents and officers,1253 Records management technicians

If I were him/her, I would not do that unless his/her prospective actual responsibilities match another code. If the employer makes up the duties, the applicants would be potentially in trouble.
