Noc 9232 and noc 9421 confusion

Urgent help needed for noc selection. I am working in a pharmaceutical company as production technician and noc 9232 has job title of pharmaceutical processing operator and on the other hand 9421 also has almost same duties but 9421 is noc c.. Kindly suggest what to select.. Its for cec as i am in ontarion and completed my one year already..

I don't think NOC C is counted, so if the duties are similar, go for 9232.

Thanks for responding.. I also want to mention that some comapnies are posting this job with noc 9232 but my comapny posted this few months ago with noc 9421 so really confused what to do. Does cic confirm noc code from the company or they just need job letter with resposibilties and proof like pay stubs??

NOC C experience will not benefit you for CEC -- Express Entry.

This is what CIC says:
"1. You must show that you did the duties set out in the lead statement of the occupational description in the NOC, including all the essential duties and most of the main duties listed.

2. If you cannot show that your work experience meets the description in the NOC, you are not eligible under this program."
So, if your work experience letter from your company shows that you meet the stipulations set out in point 1 for NOC 9232, then you can enter it as your primary NOC, if not, then you would fall under point 2.

Quick question, do you have an approved LMIA?

No i never got lmia as i am on pgwp. The job description letter states mostly duties of noc 9232 and under noc 9232 the job title also has pharmaceutical processing operator which is my current job too. My confusion is that does cic confirm noc from company or they only match job responsibilities? And my wage also meet the minimum wage level for ontario and its fulltime with all medical and health benefits.

A lot of times CIC makes a decision using other checking mechanisms without contacting the applicant's place of employment, but sometimes they do contact the employer. There are no guarantees either way what methods they will use. I would suggest that you get a very detailed reference letter from your company that would give the CIC officer no doubts that you perform the "duties set out in the lead statement of the occupational description in the NOC, including all the essential duties and most of the main duties listed".

In my opinion, even if CIC was to contact your employer, I don't think it would be to confirm what NOC your company thinks suits what you do. They would want to know what are your job duties/responsibilities and they(CIC) would determine if your duties match with the NOC(9232) you entered.

This is just my opinion, so hopefully other members will weigh in on the conversation as well.

Thanks a lot for resonding my questions... My job letter from comapny has mostly evrything that is included in noc 9232 job responsiblitues mentioned by cic. So i think i will choose 9232.
