Job title : Child devleopment facilitator in a school for children with development disabilities.
The Child development facilititator implements and facilitates daily classroom plans under the direction of the teacher. Working in collaboration with the teacher and therapy team, the CHild development facilitator evaluates and implements Individual Program Plan (IPP) goals to meet the individual needs of children/students.
Entry level rate starts at $16.69 per hour and increases based on years of relevant experience and education. Position to start immediately.
Some responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
develop and implement activities, strategies and schedules to address IPP goals;
organize and prepare daily plans for individual children/student utilizing visual schedules, special seating, accessing and modifying learning materials, classroom equipment and activities to meet the needs of the child/student;
assist children/student in play activities;
documentation of child/student’s progress;
assist with classroom maintenance;
toilet/diaper children/student
Qualifications:
A minimum grade twelve diploma. Post-secondary education in a related field (2 year program minimum) or equivalent work experience;
experience working with children with special needs is preferred
