My current E-cas status:
We received your application for permanent residence on April 12, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 2, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Even if you have to send a regular mail from a remote place in Jammu to a remote place in Kanya Kumari, I don't think it would take over a month. I can understand huge backlog, processing gonna be delayed but i feel atleast they shud have had a system which atleast keeps updating online showing where do we stand atleast rather than we ordering and waiting for caips notes and keep guessing.....updating false statements on the only and only available E-cas status makes no sense to me...god knows where the problem lies..

Thats right. at the same time good news is that they are doing something on our files.

they ring me today as well as to my employer. i mean my number was not reachable then they ring to my hubby and they didnt ask much to my hubby but to my employer the asked a lot of questions. i will share here when i get that questions.

I have been a silent reader of the forum for a long time. For the information of all, I would like to inform that my e-cas has changed into IN PROCESS with processing date recently. Following are the details:
NOC – 4131
Visa Office – New Delhi
Initial application to CIO Nova Scotia – June 23, 2010
First AOR received – October 15, 2010
Full Documents sent – Feb 1, 2011
Second AOR received from NDVO – Feb 15, 2011
E cas – IN PROCESS
Processing date – Reviewed application and started processing on March 30, 2012

For couple of people in the e-cas status i see that they clearly mention that file has been transferred to New Delhi office as shown below:

We received your application for permanent residence on February 16, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 24, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the New Delhi office. They are pending review.
We transferred your application to the New Delhi office on March 30, 2010. The New Delhi office may contact you.
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on January 13, 2012.

Where as my status shows:

We received your application for permanent residence on April 12, 2010.

Is this the same case with with all or is there any difference in e-cas status update between the MI-1 / MI -2 / MI -3..... ????
