Hello advisors,

Does NOC Skill Type (1221) as Administrative Coordinator qualify for Canadian Experience Class?

I have worked as Administrative Coordinator for 6months with Canadian Employer. Then I worked for another 6months with different employer under different NOC. I have 4months Gap between the two jobs.

Can I claim 1 year canadian exprience in Express Entry ??

Please suggest me advisors.

Thank You.

Hello friend,

Noc 1221 belongs to Skilled B which is qualified for CEC.

Thank You so much. I was afraid because in few websites I have seen that Canadian Government has stop accepting NOC 1221 under CEC.

There was the time back in 2014 (not 100% sure when) when some of NOC categories became ineligible for CEC program. But nowadays as long as it belongs to NOC O,A,B, you are eligible to apply for CEC without any restriction. I applied under CEC with a title of administrative assistant this year and waiting for PPR.

Agree with Krystine, prior to EE there were some restricted professions in CEC and only some professions for FSW that were eligible just like Australia. But with the coming of EE system now the focus is more on education, age, language abilities, job offer and transferable skills rather than professions
