Hello!
I am about to complete my one year as an administrator. Below is my job description and I am trying to match it with the NOC 1221. I have attached both below. Can you please advise if its a suitable match?
Main duties
Administrative officers perform some or all of the following duties:
  • Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures and review, evaluate and implement new procedures
  • Establish work priorities, delegate work to office support staff, and ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed
  • Carry out administrative activities associated with admissions to post-secondary educational institutions
  • Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation
  • Co-ordinate and plan for office services, such as accommodation, relocations, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services
  • Conduct analyses and oversee administrative operations related to budgeting, contracting and project planning and management processes
  • Assist in preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence
  • May supervise records management technicians and related staff.
My Job Duties
  • Working on the team that manages IA’s largest and most complex clients
  • Analysing and responding to requests (moderate to complex) from clients and internal partners
  • Analysing pension plans of clients, performing reconciliations and identifying, reporting and questioning missing periods and generating customized option packages thereafter
  • Receiving securities trades on a daily basis from clients and ensuring they are accurately and promptly entered to the investment funds' records
  • Interpreting and analysing documentation for the input and processing of registered and non-registered investment transactions
  • Providing account management and servicing activities for client accounts
  • Prioritizing work and distributing tasks among team members to ensure a high level of productivity and accuracy is achieved at all times
  • Respecting financial deadlines as well as compliance with policies, rules and government legislations
  • Verifying financial and non-financial transactions of the team
  • Identifying problems, mudas (mundane tasks) and proposing viable solutions for improvement of administrative procedures through different LEAN tools
  • Providing a high level of customer service (requests received and required follow ups)
  • Preparing monthly special reports and taxation slips for clients and authorities
  • Participating in DMS (Daily Management System)
  • Contributing toward building and maintaining a positive environment where all team members can learn, share knowledge and collaborate.
  • Staying current with relevant laws and rules concerning pensions across Canada
