NOC 0211 engineering managers - when do you get notification after submission ?

Hi,

I applied for Engineering managers category from Egypt and now my lawyer is saying I can't know if am accepted within the quota or not until they receive information from CIC and this could take months. Can anyone shed some light on how long it takes after submission to hear from CIC ? and what is the next step?

The lawyer office gave it to the courier today and the tracking says it should be delivered tomorrow to Sydney, NS, CA
