No ties

Hello everybody! My brother is a permanent resident of Canada for 5 years. This year he's got his 30 th birthday and wants me to attend or at least visit him this year. He sent me a letter of invitation and he's gonna sponsor me for the period of visiting but I have no ties. I am young, single, have no property, my salary is low and I'm currently living in another country. Russia. I have no intention to stay there because I want to visit my future nephews. How to ensure them that I won't stay over the permitted period?

You need to show strong reasons for why you would ideally have to return back home. Its going to be tough because it doesn't seem like you have any reasons for why you have to return. You are young, single, have no property, have a low paying job. You also will not be able to pay for the trip yourself as your brother is paying for you. On top of that you do not live in your country of citizenship and are staying in another country, that already shows lack of ties to HOME passport country.

Lots of negatives.

I understand that my case is a compilation of negative points. No connections and a high chance to stay illegally to search a better life but I know that I will spoil my brother's reputation if I break any rules and I want our parents to go there and visit their future grandchildren, so I won't deprive my family of this opportunity. My chances are close to zero. Should I just try or it I'll be a waste of money?

its up to you, if its your first attempt no real harm in trying other than losing application fee. If you can afford it no problem. Just note that if you get rejected you will need to tell this rejection on all future applications.

So for a regular visitor visa there is no such thing as sponsoring. One cannot be "sponsored". People often use the term when they really just mean that someone else will help pay their way. (often time a negative)

One of requirements is that you should have a good purpose of travel, so a good invitation letter and reason to visit will help cover that one area of the application.

You are right, I meant that, just confused the terms. Of course our parents will help me.

no one will be able to tell you 100% yes or 100% no. They can just guess at your chances. If I think chances are low, that's just my opinion I am not the one making a decision...I could be wrong and you could get your visa.

only way to find out 100% sure is to apply. But yes the more potential refusal reasons that you can address up front would increase your chances.
