Jhalliye, it takes 10 days time. There were some weekends when they don't work and yeah Halloween too. So you should get it in a day or two and don't worry about Indian holidays, Scotia doesn't follow Indian Holidays.

Did you apply for account number or you have already transferred the funds?

Any update...I applied for mine to on Oct 30th too and I just received the email of the receipt of application .... By when should i expect the account details to transfer the funds and get the GIC.

i m talking about sept 20 not oct 20
its more than month
approx 1.5 mnth
but hvnt got gic account nmbr
plz help wt can i do........??

Ooops my bad then. Did u check ur spam folder? If still no response u need to send them an email and follow the steps from their online guide on sending query email..

Once you send your application via email then you should receive an automated reply from Nova Scotia bank that they have received your application and it will be in process. Did you get any such email ?

If not then I think that they had not received your application till now. Please check if you had submitted the following in 1 single pdf file (which is less than 4 MB in size)

1. GIC Application form
2. Letter of Acceptance
3. Signed copy of complete passport

you will definately get your account within 2-5 working days

I think you should call during their working hours... Someone in this forum had suggested to call after 11 PM (IST)
