I came across a case. A student got his PR who initially entered Canada as a refugee. At that time, he was not having any ID or proof of his date of birth, So the attending officer put January 1, some year( 2 years more than his original year of birth). Now, the student is a PR and is facing a problem with his DOB on PR card as it shows January 1, and 2 years older than his age. How can the date be corrected. Upon calling CIC, they refused to do anything. Please advice.
