Our medicals were done on 10 March 2012 and due to past TB history of my wife I was expecting delay of 3 months at least. However, I sent a mail on 09th of June 2012 to enquire about the case and this week I got the following response.

"Your medical results are currently awaiting review by a visa officer. Please be assured that as soon as the review is complete, the next steps in the processing of this application will be determined and you will be advised accordingly."

What is the meaning of results awaiting review by a visa officer? What is the maximum time frame that I should get medical furtherance from NDVO?

If your wife got treated for her TB & there`s jst a scar on her lung & you have sent her recovey reports from your doctor to your visa office then it SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM.

1. She may or may not get med furtherance... at this timeframe [since meds] she is likely not to.
2. The usual timeframe for receiving PPR/PRVs after meds is 3-5 months... u aren't "delayed" yet.

Pls pray!

Thanks qorax for the information. I will be glad if there is no medical furtherance but this doesn't seems to be the case as it's more than 4 months that we have submit our medicals. If NDVO doesn't require any medical furtherance then they wouldn't have kept the file for so long. However, it's good to know that maximum time frame is 5 months.
And, to update all members that I got passport request, updated funds proof request, PCC, medical, RPRF all in one mail. And, all requirements have been fulfilled in March 2012 itself but there has been no case furtherance.

I have received the following email from the CHC after submission of the repeat medical tests for my son. ( medical furtherance ):My Medical was done on 14 APR2012

(Consult chest specialist:Report must include history of TB treatment and drug schedule used
Hilar lymphadenopathy.)
Please noted:They have not asked for any tests.
he hasn't any TB history. But when I consult Chest specialist (according to specialist it could be a Inactive TB or it could be a be sercodisis) After CT scan he sent the reports to CHC that it is not infectious and non communicable disease.after one and half month nothing to be happened.I am worried.

Shibu,

It seems your case is quite simple. Just relax and wait for maple leaves to be stamped on your passport. Visa officers are more concerned about communicable disease which your son doesn't have. But the only question that remains Is your son fully cured? Or, is he still on medication?

Dear his son has not TB history....it is now only diagnoses...which is again confusing if it is TB or NOt......good point for him is that whatever it is it is not communicable
