Hi,

I got a question:

I know, if I want to get a temporary work permit for foreign workers I do need to find an employer who applies for a LMIA over EDSC.

But I have heared that at this time there are no new LMIA because of the new Government. I heared that they stopped issuing new LMIAs but they will install new opportunities. Is this correct?

How can I achieve the newest information if there are LMIAs available?

I want to move to Canada as soon as possible.

Thank you very much.

Kind regards

Pete

No - this isn't true. The LMIA process is the same as it was before.

If you want to move to Canada on a work permit you will have to find an employer who is willing to offer you a full time job and who can obtain an approved LMIA.

Thank you very much!

Do you think it is a good idea to come to Canada for holiday and if in Canada to ask several employers in person instead of writing emails?

I don't know. I have no personal experience in this regard. It's going to be difficult either way, I think.

It may be difficult as of now. But not impossible so give a try man. Check IEC program as well.

Thanks!

This give me hope.....

IEC: I guess I am to old (50yo). But it is my dream to come to Canada and will do all I can - I do not expect an easy way (I had a lot of obstacles in my life but I worked hard and I succeed at least)
