Hello, I hope someone here might have some insight.

My partner is currently applying for a PR card for the first time. They came to Canada under the older system and therefore have an IMM 1000.

The PR application is asking for a Port of Entry but there is literally none listed on the document. It lists "By Land" and then the "AT" space is blank. There are three possible options but unfortunately no one who actually knows as they were an infant at the time and the parents are now deceased.

For the PR application then, do I just leave it blank or do I list the office of issue (an American city)? Does anyone have any experience with this type of situation?

Wow, your partner has lived all this time in Canada and no PR card? Never bothered applying for citizenship either?

Anyway: I'd just put one of the three likely options for port of entry and include a short note stating you are not certain [because etc].

Since we're talking a person who's lived in Canada for probably more than two decades, I doubt it's material.

They were a minor when the PR card was introduced and unfortunately their parents were a little, let's just say lackadaisical, about paperwork. So by the time they came of age there wasn't a lot of impetus. Citizenship will be in the works but the wait times are ridiculous right now.
