No Last Name in passport.

Hi,

I created an account for EE PR, but while trying to proceed with the filling personal details the Last Name/Family Name(which is a mandatory field as per the portal). Since it's a mandatory field I cant leave it as blank since I don't have a Last Name/Family Name on my passport, Can you suggest on how to proceed with this issue ?

As far as I know if someone doesn’t have a last name, in that case they will mention their first name again in the ‘last name’ blank. Because their first name is also their last name. Nonetheless you can confirm this by calling CIC.

Kavita, you need to do more research on the CIC's website itself.

If you do not have a family name on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field and leave the given name field blank. Do not enter “Not applicable,” “*” or “NA.”

I did find this on CIC website but it doesn't work. Both first and last names are required, can't submit form if i leave first name blank. So. asked here.

I had the same issue and I left the first name blank and created the profile with just two last name (my first and middle name). It went well. I created my profile about a month ago. So I don't think they changed the system so quickly without putting out a notice.
