No Birth Certificate for a relative living in Ontario

Hi everyone,

In "relatives in Canada" section, it is stated that we must provide three documents about said relative.

1. Birth Certificate
2. PR card or certificate of citizenship
3. Proof of residency

I got in touch with my spouse's uncle, and he happily provided his Certificate of Canadian Citizenship (March 2010) as well as evidence of residency in Ontario, but he said that he doesn't have a birth certificate.

Can you please advice me on the best course of action to take? Is there any document that I should provide instead of birth certificate (passport for example)?
