Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I submitted my application back in October 17/15 via Canada Post and when I check the tracking number, it was received (with signature) on October 20/15 .. however, as of today's date (April 4/16), I have not received any letters and/or emails stating AOR .. and I have been calling CIC call center for the past 2 weeks and I cannot get through to a live agent due to "higher than usual call volumes".. and the automated system hangs up on me - doesn't even put me on a hold queue anymore.
How long do I have to wait for an AOR ?
It's going to be 6 months on this April 17th.. I don't even know if the right person/company has my application. Anyone could have signed for the package and not returned it if It was delivered to the wrong address.

Hey Mra. Fernandez,
Try logging on ECAS with your receipt number and the sponsor's information, depending on the sponsor's information it might ask both last names.
Hope it works!

I don't have a receipt number (IMM 5401). I don't have anything from CIC yet.
I am unable to check on line for anything.
That's why I'm saying that I have not received not even an AOR.

6 months or 180 days is way too long. I think longest would be 60 days.

Something is not right.

You can submit an online form asking about your application.

Go to check application processing time on CIC website. It will tell you wait their wait time is and if it's more than that
there is a form you can fill out online to enquire about your application.

That should be true as you're meant to get in within 4 months but I applied July 2015 and only got AOR in February 2016 as did loads of other people who applied in July 2015.

I recently changed jobs and my lawyer submitted my employment letter to CIC and along with that inquired about my application.. he should get an answer within 10 business days.
Some people have said that sometimes they don't even send you an AOR..
I don't care if I have to wait the required 26 months for an answer, all I want to know is that they received my application.
And yes, almost 6 months for an AOR is crazy long! It's making me think that it was sent to the wrong place and it wasn't returned to me.
I'm getting really nervous.

The processing time for application is 26 months -
ALL I want as of now is AOR.. and almost 6 months and nothing has been received.
?
I have no AOR!

When you paid for the application online it gives you a receipt number. Use that number, with sponsor's information.

@JJ628 I am the sponsor in this case.. and that receipt number from the online application payment does not work.

I submitted in Nov and nothing yet as well. Seems like there is a delay for Oct and Nov applicants. You r not the only one

If it is inland application it's possible and when you call CIC the automated telephone will tell you the period they are working on, but i am sure you are not alone.

@wssun and @gabba50
Thank you so much. Makes me feel a bit better to know I'm not alone. It's stressful to say the least.
I have actually been trying to contact CIC for the past 2 weeks and I haven't been able to get a live rep on the phone. The automated system keeps hanging up on me saying "due to higher than usual call volumes" they are not able to transfer my call..

You have to call in the morning. Call about 8am in your timezone.

Yeah there r lots Oct and Nov applicants haven't receive AOR yet. Maybe due to the Syria refugees coming in and delay the process. But it's weird that Dec applicants got AOR first

If you are using a lawyer for your representative he will receive the AOR. You can always go to your MP and ask them to do a search for you. They have to response to them.
