Hey Guys, Its been long time since i am waiting for AOR. Please advice me what should i do. Some of you may know about my situation and it would be great if you guys can again help me too.

Application sent : April 25, 2014
Application Received : After One week ( Not confirmed because my representative didn't give me any confirmation and i think they are professional so i believe them)
Payment Method : Bank draft (Not en cashed yet, keep calling to TD bank and they saying its still outstanding)
Email Sent to CIC : I sent an email to Centralized Intake Office on June 17 ( 6 weeks after applying) but no reply and i think its because in automatic acknowledgement of my e-mail says they will not reply if my application received within 8 to 10 weeks.
Contact with my Representative : On July 15, 2014 I call to my representative and he said he will ask my status of application.

I am confused because he said me, he know someone inside immigration office and he will ask my status from inside. But honestly, I didn't like the way he trying to find the status of my application. Because this looks scam. I even told him just call to CIC because its been more than 10 weeks and they can tell the status on phone ( I think).

Thanks,

Thanks,

IMHO your representative probably didn't send it. Ask for proof of receipt. I doubt he has an "inside track" in CIC.

Hey pmm, I asked him after a week since he sent my file and he said we send files in bulk and u should tell me before if u need tracking number because we have to ask from courier company and now it's already in CIC office so u don't need it now and don't worry we sent it.

Are you sure that your representative is a registered CIC consultant/lawyer? At this point I think it is best that you file a new application by yourself. It sounds like your application was either misplaced at your representative's office or they did not send it out.
Next time you hire someone to take care of your PR application, please do a thorough research and then hire them. If possible tell your consultant that you will report them to bad business bureau or to Immigration and they might just help you out better.
If you do receive any communication from Immigration with regards to your April 25/14 file, then change your representative immediately.

Hey hope, How you doing? And yes my representative is register consultant but he having an assistant in his office who filled out forms and set up my all documents in sequence but i am sure assistant wasn't lawyer or immigration consultant. she just having experience with immigration and helping consultant/lawyer. My friend hire the same representative and he told me he is the good consultant. Well I am gonna call my Representative on Monday and gonna ask if he find out the status of my application or no and lets hope for good. But if no then i would may call CIC help line and ask the status of my application because i called them once and they told me we can only tell you status of your application after 10 months since applied and if i find out my application has been received by CIC then i could wait more.

Lets say if i send my application again then how about my Bank draft? Should I cancel the first draft i gave to my consultant and make new one?

Thanks,

Did you tried logging in ECAS to see ...

https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app=ecas

Try with your credentials ,probably ur consultant missed AOR mail or screwed something ... if u dont see status there then probably he screwed your application.

Hey, I am trying to log in and nothing coming out. On the other hand, it doesn't make any sense to check the status online because my draft is still outstanding.

Thank you :)

Hi There,
I understand your situation. One thing you can check if your representative is registered with Canadian Government at link below:
cic.gc.ca/english/information/representative/verify-rep.asp#law-societies

Secondly, I also applied through the lawyer and following is the excerpt from his first communication to me after he submitted my file to CIC:

"Based on previous experience, wait time for further instructions is 1 - 5 months. However, due to the recent changes in immigration law and CIO processing, we ask for your patience if processing times are greater than expected."

FYI, given time was for the AOR but I received in around 2 month. You can see my time line on left.

I hope this would help you.

Best of luck all of us. :)

Hey can I ask you how much you have paid for the rep, this will give me a clue if he is true or not.

That's close to what I paid for my rep, did he provide any Tracking number?

Hey, Can you please send me the exact link where i can search by his name and other parameters, if he is legal consultant or no.

Thanks and good luck for your medical request.

in the Rep form, he gave you, he should have a number?

Well i wasn't in contact with that consultant. His assistant was helping me out with my application and when i asked for tracking code after 4 days since she sent my application. She said I suppose to tel her before if i need tracking code or no because we send lots of application together and we need to ask from courier company about tracking code but you don't worry your application is about to reach at CIC. but when she told me about this i was wondering like it doesn't make any sense because when u send any document or application with any courier company the tracking code is always given to you either u ask or no and if i m not wrong i think tracking code is on your receipt of payment.

Thanks
