Hi there,

I'm trying to sponsor my dad who lived in Lagos for about a year and we now need to provide police certificate for Nigeria.
He is not a citizen and he is no longer there - we also don't have any contact on site that can assist.

The canadian Police certificate website is very vague - no link to application form + no info on the fees.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/police-certificates/how/nigeria.html

I'm a bit worried as we don't have much time to provide the certificate.

I keep seeing this website as well - but not sure if it's legit: https://gateway.ng

Does anyone have any insights?

Thank you so much!

Is your father currently in Canada?, if yes, the fastest option for you is to go any FIPS office near you and have his fingerprints taken, a paper document will be given to you which you can scan and send to Nigeria. If you have a contact at Alagbon, all you need to do is send the fingerprint document with your dads passport data page to them and they will scan the PCC back to you. This can be done in 24-48hours.

I forgot to mention the fees, Nigeria PCC doesn’t have a fixed price, it all depends on how best you know how to negotiate. I was in Lagos in Jan, I did mine for #3500, some people have paid up to #10000 for theirs. If you want, I think I have the card of the police officer that helped with my PCC then. I can look for it

Hi there,

Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, we don't have any contact left there which makes things a bit difficult...
