Next step received after "prepare for exam" letter

This is my dad's citizenship application who is 65 years old.

I am at work and the details/timelines are at home so can't say the exact dates.

He applied around 2.5 years ago, received RQ last year and this december got the letter saying 'prepare for exam'.

We received another letter on Friday dated Jan14th, 2014 asking to verify documentation with CIC officer at St. Clair on Jan 29th, 2014.

They asked to come with 2 IDs, Date of Birth certificate etc.

Not sure any body have similar experience, what to expect on the day and going forward?

He should not have to take the exam because he is 65. He will come for document checking only.
