I took the test before Nov 2008, It should be within 1 year of the application as per my attorney
The old system was used this was academic whic was submitted in the past by this law firm
I also had the general done after nov 2008 using the new system will give me 14 too
If you take your test before nov 2008, they will use what works in your favor as per cic website

FSW1 you get one chance, all documents have to be submitted within 120 days, no extensions.

Hello Ammarshahin,

I sent my application to NS on Apr 14th under new rule (38 Occupations). I would like to bring your attention towards that I appeared on IELTS- General on Sep2008. My IELTS score is Listening- 6.5, Reading – 6.5, Writing- 6 & Speaking – 6.5. From this IELTS result, I have 12 Points ( 2 High & 2 Moderate) as per new rule and scoring over all points 68. I am afraid; in my case what IELTS score system will work? because If they consider new rule then my over all points will be 68 and if they consider old rule then my point would be less then 67........Plz suggest

they will go for new rule.

no need to worry.

Thanks Canadp, you save me.

I would like to know in what basis cic will go for new rule in my case...this is for my understanding...plz help me

hmuath,

I have not spoken to him yet since the last time. Therefore, I do not know what his current status is.

Regards.

Thanks LeoNYC

because today i have completed 3 weeks since submitting supporting documents.

Hello hnv,
I checked OP6.pdf/Page 24 ( http://www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/RESOURCES/manuals/op/op06-eng.pdf) and found below mentioned points.
Point1.
Test score equivalency chart (applications received or test reports dated after November 28, 2008)Note: Visa officers should also assess applications and test reports which pre-date November 28, 2008,
against the above correlation table if it is to the applicants advantage, i.e., resulting in more points
for language proficiency.

Point2: Test score equivalency chart (Applications received and test reports dated before November 28)

My case, I applied my application on 14th Apr, 2009 and have IELTS result on Sep, 2008....It means, in my case point1 is eligible (Test score equivalency chart (applications received or test reports dated after November 28, 2008) .....Just want to re-confirm from you guys.
