Hello everyone. I am a permanent resident in Canada since April 2016. I intend to marry on December 2016. What tips and recommendations do you advice to prove that the marriage is not done for the purpose of sponsored spouse immigration.

thanks,

Do you mean you applied for PR in April 2016?
If you already got permanent residency in April 2016, then you wouldn't need to prove anything.

Are you marrying your spouse overseas?
Or is your spouse in Canada?

What country is your fiancee from? How long have you known each other? Have you lived together?

You said you're newly married but you're intending to marry this December? Which one is it?

If you're not married yet you cannot apply for family sponsorship until you guys get married and submit the marriage certificate as the first step to applying for family sponsorship.

To prove genuinity you have to submit anything that they can believe to be real. Such as call logs, e-mails, cards, pictures if you 2 together and family meetings, etc.

I am already a PR. I am about to get married. When I am married, next December, I intend to sponsor her.

We are engaged. I intend to travel back to Egypt and marry there.

Hello.. you should ideally be going through your country specific guide on CIC webiste to understand how to proove your relationship.. each country has a set of guide on what docs to provide in the application.. Dont miss out on ANYTHING from that.

Additionally, you can provide them skype/whatsapp/viber chats, call logs, pre and post wedding, engagement/weddings pics, social media checkins and posts/photos, financial assistance you may provide to your wife.. gifts which you guys might have couriered or exchanged.. honeymoon bookings, wedding venue bookings etc if any... This kind of stuff helps prove genuinity.
Also some one told us that its best to submit your docs 1-2 months after your wedding so that you have adequate proof of relationship after marriage in terms of skype, chats call logs etc :)

Hope this was of some help. :)
Best wishes for your upcoming wedding.

I agree. Look at the forms and the kinds of questions they ask, and make sure you keep proof of whatever your answer will be.
For a country like Egypt, I would suggest you have a traditional wedding, something that would be considered typical for your and your wife's culture. If you opt for something non-traditional, you will have to explain why - which is fine, just make sure you have a lot of proof either way that your marriage is meaningful to you.
Take lots of photos of all aspects of the marriage ceremony, and the engagement party if there is one (BTW, don't do something just because it is asked about on the forms; for example, if an engagement party is not typical in Egypt, don't have one just for the form). Try to show how many guests were there: either a shot of the whole ceremony, or shots of you and your wife with each table or group of guests.
You need photos showing daily life with your wife as well, and photos of both of you with each other's families and friends.
Also keep all evidence of communication between the two of you, before and after the marriage, and all proof of trips taken to see each other. If you phone each other, use some kind of phone company that provides you with a statement of the number you called. For example, most phone cards do not do this, as so are useless as proof.
