Hi guys,
I am a newbie here, currently working in Hk. I already have my employer from Canada.I already sent my documents through email and he passed it to the agency in Canada. He just sent me a receipt that he already paid including ducumentation fee, medical insurance, processing fee, LMIA application, and placement fee. The agency sent me an email and they asked me to pay for Document Verification fee in Philippines costing 360CAD. Please someone could give me advise if am I doing the right thing. I dont have any agency here in Hongkong.tnx in advance

i came canada also myself with out agency.you dont need to pay anythings for document verification....did you signed contract?for LMIA they need contract sign for both employer and employe.dont pay anything until you will get LMIA in your hand.it will talk 3 to 4 month.

The LMIA according to the agency is still on process. I just received a copy of receipt from my employer.

I havent receive any yet. I just forwarded all scanned copy of my docs like job application form, school credentials, 2x2 id picture with white background and 2 government issued Ids

They have likely sent you a fake receipt and are trying to scam you.
