I have been madly tracking the eCas site but it hasn't moved. It only switched from "Application Received" to "In Process" once. After our medical in december, I have written them today asking if they received medicals from Ottawa and if they have any case status to share.

Just like most people I took medicals as a huge milestone but there is silence again. I wanted to know if someone here has had success getting a case status from NY office. Also, if anyone recently has received word after medicals.

I have been tracking trackitt too but there aren't many near my timeline.

Hey RK2009

I feel the same thing. Most people talk about Buffalo. But since our files had been transfered to NY,it is different from their timeline. It is very hard to compare and track. Hope to get more infor from others.

Please keep me posted when you receive the reply from NY consulate.

By the way, I ordered CAIPS already and should be here by Feb 1 and let's see what it says.

Thanks

Our timelines match, so it would be interesting to see what your CAIPS says and whether it indicates Ottawa has sent the medicals back to the NY consulate, keep me posted either through this thread or PM.

It seems not many cases that was transfered from Buffola to New York office then???

I did not see we are faster than Buffalo aplicants.

Yes, I will keep you posted.

Anyway, did you check your bank if NY office encased your RPRF? Mine is not cleared yet. I know it is just about 5 days since they received my files.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I can't tell easily if they encashed my RPRF, the agent created the draft and I have to reach out to them, I wonder if they will take that effort to get the information for me.

I wrote a case enquiry to NY on Thursday, don't see any thing from them yet.

What do you mean only 5 days, you mean from Ottawa's perspective?

Did you pay USD or CAD? My bank saids draft is only for international currency.

I bought a money order from bank of america so I can track if the money order is cleared.

My consulate sent my money order along with other documents to NY office last Tuesday and should be there on Wednesday. So it is only about 5 days and I do not think they already cashed my money order anyway. I would expect they should cash it for about 10-20 days after received. So I feel you send about two weeks earlier than me. So in your case, your draft could possibly be cahsed.

Thanks

I paid USD and a conversion fee for them to get a local CAD draft. Its been time I hope they respond quickly, it seems so close yet far. The consultant has told me that it can take upto 5 months.

It's difficult to hold back from dreaming and planning ahead, I posted other threads in this forum about home costs in Toronto. :-[

I know, it is hard to wait.

So you know, today I checked my ecas and as what I predicted a week ago. My ecase changes to

We received your application for permanent residence on October 14, 2008.

Medical results have been received.

Still in process mode though.

Your medicals was sent on Dec 23, 2009. Mine is Dec 31, 2009, a week later. Your status changed last Monday and mine is today, monday. So it did show two things.

1. NY office does change ecas, maybe on Monday every week.

2. It should takes about 10-15 busniss days for Ottawa to send back our medical results to local office. Not bad.

I hope now NY office is going to move really fast from now on.

Thank you,

Thank you,

Congrats Huan!, Yes some predictability there. However I am hearing 3 months from now for PPR, which sounds a lot given we have already spent over 13 months. Why don't you write a case enquiry to NY to see if they reply to you something?

They have not respnded to my communication and its been more than 10 days now.

Thanks RK2009.

You know, I am just curious who updates our ecas? Our IO or some other workers?

I will contact them after I make sure my money order is encashed. Now, it has not encashed.
I just want to make sure they have all my files.

3 months would be very long.
Now I am trying to find some real cases that how long it takes to get PPR after eCAS changes to medicals received.
