New to CANADA

Hi All,

I need few information.
I am currently in INDIA having 10+ Years of experience in Software Testing. I Worked in Big MNC's.
Now my wife is also working and having more than 10+ years of experience and now she is going to Toronto for office assignment.
And i have to resign and go with her to Toronto.

Could some one please guide me what is the prospects to get QA/ Testing Job there in 10 Years Exp?
Also what is the procedure to apply for Work permit?
Will it be easy or tough to get the job there as i am very much settled here in India and have little bit hesitation to resign from my current job and go to Toronto and search for a new job there?

Please guide me as i have never go abroad...

If you coming to Toronto as a Spouse, you would receive a VR. You can apply for Open work permit and look for jobs. It is not easy to get a job right away, you may need to squander around and do your extensive research to find the right job.

First thing to do is applying for a Spouse Open Work Permit, assuming your wife is a skilled worker.

Your permit will have the same expiring date as yours wife permit.

Additionaly you need to apply for Canada multiple entry Visa.

It's strongly recommended to have a passport with a longer expiring date, or even better a new one.

Note you should apply for WP and Visa before resign your job.
