New temporary resident visa from within Canada

Hi everyone,

I apologized if this question has been asked before. But I was suppost to get my new study permit on April but for some reason it did not get to my address and now they have to send it back to me and it may take up to 6 weeks but I do know that I was approved and I know the expiry date. My question is...

Can I apply for a new temporary resident visa without having the permit at hand? Because I am planning to travel for a couple of weeks when summer school ends.

I think you can apply for it.
Expiry date = The course completion date + 3 months.
Go through the checklist.
If they need scan copy of permit.
Then you need to wait for it.
