New simplified process

Hi, I and my family applied in april 2006 under the new simplified process and till date i have not received any response from the immigration authority., not even any acknowledgement of my paper submission. had applied thru a lawyer based in canada.. i live in Tanzania, East africa.. Would appreciate if LEON OR anyone who has applied under this process could reply, their experience and if they have received any acknowledgement.  thanks a lot...

you locked this topic i was trying to reply... any ways i think you shud hav recieved at least acknowlagement bcuz AOR letter comes within 6 months of submission ... its quite late in your case

Hi,

CIC introduced simplified process in September,2006. If you applied in April, 2006,definitely you applied through previous system and all papers/documents must be submitted with the application.
So pls verify the whole thing and see that you have applied proper way.

Sorry i got the date wrong... i actually applied in april 2007 and not 2006 ...

So maybe they only sent the AOR to your lawyer. Ask your lawyer if you can get a copy of whatever they have sent him.
