New rule for physical present change from 1095 days to 1460 days for citizenship

Hey everyone,

I just went through the cic website and foudout the physical presence for the citizenship changed from 1095 days to 1460 days. (3 to 4 years in last 5 to 6 years)

so my question is if it applies to the new immigrents who came to canada in 2015 after this update or if it applies to everybody who didnt complete 1095 days yet, because i came in june 2013 and at that time the rule was for 1095 days.

any useful response will be appriciated.

The new rule applies to everyone...

The new rule applies to everyone applying for Citizenship as of June 11, 2015; regardless of when you came to Canada or when you became a Permanent Resident.

This probably messes up your plans for applying for Citizenship, unfortunately such is the new rule.
